RK Podcast Ep. 1: 2015 Review

RK Podcast is hosted by myself and Kevin Grands; a good friend, sound engineer, rapper and producer. I can’t say how long I’ve wanted to do this. Too, too long. Back when I was still trying to get on radio I thought that if “mainstream” stations don’t have openings, I’m going to figure out how to start an online show and voila, three years later (I think) here’s episode one!

In this episode, recorded on the final day of 2015, December 31st, we talk about our favorite moments last year. Our categories were “Best Rap Song”, “Best Kenyan Song”, “Best RnB Song”, “Best Moment 2015” and “Best Kenyan Song”.
We of course talk about the Octopizzo- August Alsina situation (he had alleged that August was featured on the chorus of Could Be Us, something August’s management denied)and how MDQ called him out on it.

This is just one of the many things we discussed. The conversation stays around KE Music, even if we discuss some international tracks (projects). If you love music and opinions, this you will love. Maybe you’ll also learn a thing or two 🙂

Some of the Kenyan tracks we talk about are featured below so check ’em out! 🙂

The track where I thought Kelvin K sounded like Trey Songz a little bit.

The name of the Wu-Tang Clan connectI couldn’t remember was Cedric Muhammad who was their General Manager.

Kevin Grands’ featured tracks, We Want Kevin and No Company.
